Whole Wheat Nut Bread
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup honey
1 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons canola oil
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup dates, choppedIn a large bowl, combine the flours, baking
soda, and salt. In a medium bowl, add together the honey, buttermilk,
canola oil, and eggs. Stir the wet mixture into the dry one just until
wet. Fold in the walnuts and dates. Grease and flour an 8-inch loaf pan.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a 325 degree oven for one hour. |
