The story for this one is the story that's on the homepage of my website. I use this recipe for any holiday where I do roll-out cookies. They are good frosted or just as good if you just put some festive sprinkles on them before baking.

3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 cup soft butter
1 beaten egg
3 tablespoons cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine softened butter and sugar until creamy. Add in egg, cream, and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder and add it to the liquid mixture. Chill and roll out. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
