| Cookies are a beloved snack for everyone and each person
has their own favourite. Subway has great cookies, from chocolate chip
to oatmeal raisin, but of all the choices, the famous little sugar
cookie called snickerdoodle is my personal favorite. Here is the
Subway Snickerdoodle Recipe. 1/2 cup of butter, softened 1/2 cup of shortening (if shortening is unavailable to you may use 1 cup of butter) 1 1/2 cups of white sugar 2 large eggs 2 3/4 cups of all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons white sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 2 teaspoons cream of tartar |
|
The first step is to preheat the oven to 400°F or 200°C. In a bowl, cream
together butter and shortening , then the 1 1/2 cups of sugar and the vanilla.
Take care to ensure that the ingredients are blended well together. In another
bowl mix the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. When these
ingredients are evenly mixed, slowly add the flour mixture to the creamed
mixture.
Combine the 3 tablespoons of sugar and the 3 tablespoons of cinnamon in a small
bowl. Form one inch balls of dough and roll each in the cinnamon and sugar
mixture; place on an ungreased baking sheet. You can use an ice cream scoop to
help form the balls. The dough should be placed about 2 inches apart on the
sheet. The cookies should bake for about 8-10 minutes; remove them from the oven
as soon as they are finished.
Plating
The cookies should be placed on a cooling rack; if one is unavailable, putting
them on a plate for a while to cool is fine. You now have this easy recipe,
exactly the same as the cookie you find at Subway, available to you. You can
make scrumptious cookies that your children will love at either lunch or as an
after-dinner dessert. This recipe is simple enough to teach your child, so soon
they can start making delectable Subway-style snickerdoodle cookies themselves.
