Pie Crust

1 1/4 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons cold butter or margarine
5 to 6 tablespoons ice water

Put the flour, sugar, salt and butter or margarine in a medium bowl. Use a fork or pastry blender to mix the butter or margarine into the other ingredients. The mixture should be crumbly. Add in the water a couple of tablespoons at a time until the mixture becomes dough.

This makes enough for the crust of one 9-inch pie. Roll out the dough out on a lightly floured surface in a circular shape to be about one inch bigger than the pie plate. Flute the edges by pinching the dough between your thumb and index finger.
