Creating Your Own Baking Story

My grandmother, tied for being the best baker I know next to my own mom, recently had to move and downsize some of her things. She gave up many of her recipes in that process and thankfully, I was able to get some of them. It is hard to describe just how much these recipes mean to me. It is a piece of her that I will always have forever. I'd like to share with you one of the recipes that she marked as "good." And if she underlined good, I know it's a great recipe. 1/4 cup cocoa |

Mix together all ingredients above in a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Boil for 30 seconds. Take from heat and add in:
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
Mix well and drop by teaspoons on wax paper to cool.
Nuts or coconut may be added for extra variety or flavor.
Grandma's note: May be put in a pan and cut into bars.
