Mock Angel Food Cake

1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup hot skim milk
2 egg whites, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt

Sift together the sugar, flour, and baking powder at least 3 times. Put the mixture in a large bowl and add the hot milk. Mix well. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Fold in the vanilla and salt. Bake in an angel food cake pan in a 325 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
